Rain!

Today’s forecast of rain was accurate.  Although it didn’t hit us in the morning, it was to blanket the region by midday.  As a result, we replicated our standard routine and started the day with breakfast and then pool time.

After the pool and the related showering, we got organised enough to make plans for the rest of the morning.  By this time, we were scoping lunch options, and because we hadn’t done so yet, we headed north to the town of Woolgoolga.

Here, I visited a shop call the Magpie Bookshop and bought  bunch of second hand vinyl records while the boys and Toni enjoyed snacks at the attached cafe.

We then went a bit further down the road to a place called Sea Salt, where we had divine seafood for lunch.  I had Barramundi, the boys really tasty chips and Toni had calamari and a sweet potato scallop.

There was just enough time to poke our heads into a local Vinnies before the rain came.

We drove back to Coffs but went to the Park Beach Plaza to get additional food for the evening and the next day.  We all ended up getting new footwear as an unintended consequence.

As we returned to the resort, the rain intensified, and we stayed indoors for the rest of the day, save for another spell in the pool before dinner.
