What Happened?

Well folks,

If you’re reading this, then you are at aussietravelling.com and not Aussie Travel Guy.

What Happened?

A fair question.  In the lead up to travelling last December, I got a little busy and forgot to add funds to my domain account balance.  Despite several emails warning me, I sailed a little too close to the sun and it wasn’t until we reached Albury on the day the domain was due to expire, before I tried to fund the account.

I transferred money in, but apparently I was too late.  The domain sat in a pending deletion state whilst I tried in vain to renew it.  It wasn’t until after we returned home that I was able to resolve the issue.  The bad news for me is that the domain recovery fee was going to be too insanely high, so I decided to look at registering a new domain name.  As it turns out, Aussie Travelling was available, and honestly I like it better than the original name.

Welcome to Aussie Travelling

It’s hello and welcome back, because the site never really went anywhere, the content is all still here.  It might take a while for Google and other search engines to update their links, but we’re back and functioning.  I have some work to do uploading photos to match the records for the Victorian adventure, but this will flow through soon enough.

There you have it, a lesson in domain name maintenance!

Best,

Rob
