Last Thursday we snubbed our noses at the traditional transportation options one has in making their way from our nation’s capital (Canberra) to our largest city (Sydney) – namely bus, car and plane. Instead we opted for the excruciatingly long (four hours, twenty minutes) train voyage which started at Canberra station, and ended at Sydney’s Central station.
The trip, for the record, is nearly an hour longer than coach [] which takes three and a half hours. By car, it takes about two and a half hours. In China, the same trip (from HangZhou to Shanghai) over roughly the same distance (by train) takes thirty eight minutes – by bus it is under three hours.
