Thoughts from Hangzhou

Posted On By Rob

G’day from Hangzhou – and wishing you also a very happy new year.  We kicked off the year 2010 in style even though Chinese new year doesn’t start until February.

Our early 2010 celebrations started by winning a round of drinks at a trivia comp, followed by a romp in a multicultural nightclub and then accompanied by loud karaoke until 4am in the morning!

Tomorrow is our last day in China, we return via Shanghai and arrive back in Queensland on Sunday,

Here are some nice shots of serene Hangzhou at night.  Shot from an e-bike (electric bike) whilst picking up some takeaway food for dinner.  The second photo shot in black and white for artistic effect.

Next, a shot from Matt’s balcony whilst relaxing..

Hangzhou is pretty cold in winter, rivalling Canberra.  We’ll be glad to be back in the “Sunshine State” again on Sunday even if it might be a tad stormy 🙂

Cheers…R
