It all started innocently enough. A few tiny snowflakes drifted to Earth, making no perceptible impression on the rough and varied terrain, be it land or water. Then, bit by bit, white started to decorate the trees, the bridges, the rooftops and pathways of our tiny piece of the world.
By midday, the whole town was covered in a layer of beautiful fluffy white snow. We ventured out and I built our first snowman of the year. As I write this he is still downstairs looking up at us and keeping guard of our little building.
It’s not too cold, yet we are snug and happy sitting back in our apartment looking out at the snow covered vista from our balcony. A couple more days of snow and I imagine I will be able to build an even bigger snowman!
Then, probably by the weekend, the weather will turn warmer and we will have to bid adieu to the wondrous snow, until the weather returns to the sub zero regions, and once more I will build snowmen and snow animals 🙂
