A few weeks we took a trip south east to the new HangZhou city centre to go ice skating at the new MIXC Centre. It was only opened in early May this year and as a result many stores are still in the process of moving in. The ice skating rink on the other hand, is open and ready for business. Since the FIFA World Cup is on, the centre was decked out in the FIFA theme.
As you can see from the pictures, it is a pretty big place. It is about seven storeys high full of high end fashion and name brands, as well as a mixture of restaurants and in the basement, a massive gourmet supermarket with lots of western food for sale, as well as homewares.
The ice skating was very enjoyable. Being new, the rental blades were in excellent condition, although being a hot day the ice melted rather quickly with many people doing laps. We saw many spills as people lost their balance or sought to try and cross without holding the edge of the rink. We of course, being veteran skaters, had no issues.
On Tuesday we had an extra air conditioning unit installed – what you see above is one of the workmen operating a high pressure drill which is used in concert with water!
This evening we ate at a Mexican restaurant (Panchos) which just re-opened very near our home.
It was quite good, but you can judge for yourself from the pictures above!
We had nachos for the entree and I had traditional enchiladas whilst Toni had beef Fajitas for her main course.
Bon.
This is very educational content and written well for a change. It’s nice to see that some people still understand how to write a quality post!
