Farewell

Posted On By Rob

Today we parted with my folks who are (at the time of writing) jetting back towards Australia.  We had a very feature packed time, from visiting Expo in Shanghai to touring the local attractions in HangZhou.  Hopefully we were able to successfully showcase the amazing culture and sights of Zhejiang province and all it has to offer 🙂

In due source I will post pictures of our trip to Shanghai, and write up an account of the activities we undertook here on the TravelBlog.  With permission, I might also be able to post some pictures taken by Toni, Mum and Dad.

We were very lucky with the weather the past fortnight – we’ve had amazing blue skies and mid 20’C weather which really helped us to enjoy the local attractions, leaving us all but worn out by the time each evening rolled around.  It was great having my folks visit, and we sincerely hope that we may yet be able to lure them into a return trip before long (or encourage others to come and visit!).

Next week it is a return to normalcy (business as usual) as it is with many of the local people who recently enjoyed a huge seven day holiday courtesy of Chinese National Day/Week.  The domestic tourists have all but departed from HangZhou returning the area to a peaceful state, devoid of the large crowds of people we recently endured.
