Superbowl

Edit: Congratulations to the world champion* Green Bay Packers (my team) who triumphed over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Superbowl XLV!  The game was fairly close, although was it not for a few passes dropped by Green Bay wide receivers, I think we would have witnessed a blow out victory.  Green Bay were clearly the team in control for much of the game, and Pittsburgh were playing catch up for the entire game.

Green Bay had to overcome a monstrous regular season losing over 15 starters to season ending injuries, including their first string running back in the first game of the season.  They managed to end the season on a hot streak, eventually closing out the season by winning six consecutive games on the road.  They became only the season team in league history to enter the post-season as a sixth seed, and to win the Superbowl.  The only other team to accomplish this was, ironically, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Today is the day for Superbowl XLV which is being held in Texas.  My Green Bay Packers are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Vince Lombardi trophy.  I’m all geared up, ready to watch the game, which kicks off soon.  Here are some photos of my pre-game preparations..

Actually, I don’t have much in the way of supporter gear here in China, just two jackets and my old football jersey from when I played American Football in Australia, so they are all on display.

Enjoy the game!
