One more state capital checked off the list: only Darwin remains…
A week of work, with a neat payoff: my furthest foray west of Adelaide. Starting with a late arrival in Perth on Monday night, sharing an Uber with workmates and checking into the Melbourne Hotel at around 10pm. A late dinner and a midnight bedtime.
Tuesday started with breakfast and followed with a work function at the Fraser’s restaurant in King’s Park with beautiful city views nearby.
Off to Osborne Park for work meetings culminating with after work drinks at Northbridge before dinner back in the city and a late night back at the same Chinese restaurant.
Early (5:50am) start led to a 3.5km run around the southern foreshore before breakfast and coffee at the hotel. The day’s agenda was at that location for the entire day until after work drinks and food and another late night.
Thursday began with a 6:30am start, breakfast and vide at the hotel before heading back to Osbourne Park. Spent the entire day there in meetings before retiring back to the hotel for drinks. We ended up at the nearby Hilton for indian food (dinner) and an early (10:30pm) bed time.
Friday, up at 6:30am and out for a 7.5km walk/run around King’s Park leading to the DNA tower and descending down Jacob’s ladder to the foreshore.
Met with workmates for breakfast at the hotel at 8am. A meander west to a record store (no purchases) but hustle back for a 10am check out. Shared an Uber to the airport and now I’m in the air returning to Canberra.
