Jake’s First Birthday Party

Posted On By Rob

Hi All,

P2099257On the weekend Jake had his first ever birthday party.  The event was held kindly at my parent’s house, as the air conditioning at our house is still broken – we have been waiting over three weeks for the lazy real estate and totally inept to do much about it.

The day was a real success, we had a well balanced mixture of friends and family including mothers from Toni’s mother’s group and their little ones.  The event went for about three hours, and was very well catered by my darling wife, my mum with assistance from many others.

Jake seemed to have a great day too, although he was a bit tired towards the end.  We’d gone to the (now regular) father and son swimming lessons earlier in the day (a real treat), and therefore Jake missed his morning sleep.  Nonetheless, the party seemed to go off really well, and Jake received many excellent presents.

Later in the week, I’ll update this entry with some photos from the day.  A big thank you to everyone who arrived to help us celebrate Jake’s first birthday.  He officially turns one year old on Wednesday (13/2) and is well on his way towards the next big milestones.

Again, thanks to all who helped plan and participate; but special mention to my parents for their help and support; also thanks to Sandra for supporting my darling wife in the lead up to the big day.

Best, R
