Arrived in Shanghai (again)

Posted On By Rob

Hi all!  Toni and I have arrived safely in Shanghai, China.  We landed just after 7pm Beijing (local) time and checked into the hotel at around 8:30pm with no problems.  The taxi ride cost us about AUD $30 for a 45min trip (about 40kms).  We’re staying not far from all the action in the PuDong region, not far from Nanjing Rd and the People’s Square.

The hotel has free Internet access (bless them) and we’re about to relax and have an enjoyable night in.  It is, of course, tempting to go wandering but we are “in transit” (and have lots of bags back at the hotel), have a fairly sparse knowledge of Mandarin – which is not necessarily a problem in Shanghai – and want to be bright for tomorrow’s journey onwards to HangZhou.

Feel free to drop us email: rob.sanders@gmail.com or 1234tas@gmail.com – hope to hear from you soon (or leave a comment)
